In the first two rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders have chosen the best available strategy, drafting Brock Bowers, who may be the best overall player, and Jackson Powers-Johnson, maybe the best interior offensive lineman.
Now, in the third and fourth rounds, they have taken a different approach—one that has seen them take two raw prospects with a big upside and maybe two guys that only a few people know. But they are still good picks.
In round three, they selected Maryland offensive tackle Delmar Glaze, and in the fourth round on Saturday, the Raiders drafted cornerback Decamerion Richardson from Mississippi State University.
They can now mark nearly every major need off of their list besides quarterback. Instead of taking a quarterback, which they will likely do on Saturday, they will go with a cornerback and one who is super raw.
Richardson is an athletic freak, which we will get into more. But the pick sets their secondary up to be pretty good in the future. Don't worry. The Raiders can still get a quarterback in this draft, but this was a good pick.

The Raiders will love him.
