Sunday's Week 3 matchup between the Carolina Panthers and the Las Vegas Raiders is a very important one for both sides. For the Panthers, you have a team that is trying to not establish themselves as the very worst team in the league. Beating a good, not great team, in the Raiders would help do that.
The Raiders, well, they are trying to get out of that "good" area and get into the "great" area. They think they can be a playoff team, and starting the season 2-1 would certainly be a start. They should win this game handily.
But, it won't be easy. This is the NFL and anything can happen. And, the Raiders do have players banged up like Maxx Crosby and Christian Wilkins. They also have some players hurt and out.
The Raiders released their inactives list on Sunday morning before the game, and it appears they will be without one key player, and listed five other players as inactive.
Starting linebacker Divine Deablo is out with an injury, which means that Luke Masterson will start there, and Amari Gainer may get some run, too. Sure, Deablo hasn't had a great start to the season, but he's played through injuries to start the year.
Maybe his being out will help him in the long run this season.
Other inactives this week are rookie running back Dylan Laube, rookie cornerback Decamerion Richardson, special teams stud Tyreik McAllister, guard Jordan Meredith, and rookie wide receiver Ramel Keyton.
