In 2021, former Las Vegas Raiders receiver Henry Ruggs was involved in a DUI accident that ended up killing a woman, Tina Tintor, and her dog in the crash.
After the incident, Ruggs was released from the team and has now been sentenced to 3-10 years in prison by a judge as part of a plea agreement. Under the conditions of the agreement, Ruggs will spend a minimum of three years in prison before he is eligible for parole. He can serve a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
Ruggs was driving a Corvette at 156 mph, with twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system at 3:39 a.m. on Nov. 2, 2021.
Ruggs was the first wide receiver drafted in the 2020 NFL draft, and played just two seasons with the team after playing at Alabama.
