The Las Vegas Raiders need some help on defense, and they have 12 total draft picks in the 202 NFL Draft to do so. Obviously, not every pick will be on the defense, but the ones that are, have to hit.

This draft is deep at almost every position on defense, and the Raiders need help at almost every position on defense. They need secondary the most but could use some linebacker help along with pass rush help up front and on the edge.

Since it's so deep at almost every position on that side of the ball, they could end up getting guys in the later rounds that can actually contribute to the team and help have some success. In fact, one ESPN analyst thinks the Raiders could get a guy that could contribute in 2023.

Pick 100: Las Vegas Raiders (from KC/NYG)*

Todd McShay's pick: Tavius Robinson, OLB, Ole Miss Chandler Jones is 33 years old, and he didn't live up to expectations in his first season in Las Vegas, so getting more explosive pass-rushers with versatility wouldn't be a bad call for the Raiders.

The Raiders thought they were getting another elite edge rusher in Jones since the season before he had 10 sacks. Unfortunately, he showed his age last year. He started the season terribly and picked it up a bit at the end. Needless to say, they will soon need someone to replace him.

Here is what Chad Reuter of NFL.com has to say about Robinson, the Ole Miss product.

Robinson lettered in football, basketball, and track at Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute in Ontario, Canada, then signed with the University of Guelph. He was on the All-Ontario Rookie Team in 2018 (26 tackles, five sacks) and earned second-team All-Ontario honors in 2019 (39 tackles, 11.5 for loss with 8.5 sacks). Ole Miss signed him in 2020, and he responded with five starts in 10 appearances (18 tackles, 1.5 for loss). Robinson was productive (28 tackles, 4.5 for loss with 3.5 sacks) coming off the bench in 11 games in 2021, but his career took off in 2022, as he tied for second in the FBS with five forced fumbles and posted 44 tackles, eight for loss with seven sacks in 13 starts. — by Chad Reuter, NFL.com

He should be available when the Raiders pick at 100, and it wouldn't be a bad pick at all.
