The Las Vegas Raiders are narrowing down their search for both the general manager position and head coaching position; in we know who the candidates are based on the trackers for both positions we have made.
But, some recent news would tell us that they likely know who they are going to hire for the GM position. They have interviewed several candidates, including Champ Kelly and Ed Dodds, who are the two front runners.
Now, after Tuesday, they have interviewed two head coaches, satisfying the Rooney Rule so that they can now hire a head coach when they please.
Among those meetings and interviews, though, is Champ Kelly, the interim GM from last season. According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, he has sat in on noth interviews for the head coaching job. This means they value his opinion, which means he is likely the guy they want to hire.
I expect to hear some form of news very soon.
