Las Vegas Raiders Greg Van Roten

In the last few years, no one wearing silver and black has been known for their offensive line play. Not one person, maybe in the last five years or so, has said the Raiders have an amazing offensive line, one of the best in the league. So, it's easy to forget some of the guys up front.

However, while the line as a whole hasn't been amazing, and it sure wasn't last season, one player has been. They have a guy who is one of the best offensive linemen in the league; he just doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

Now, though, one of his teammates is calling it out. Basically, he is just saying it how it is.

Raiders' Greg Van Roten calls Miller underrated

The Raiders signed offensive lineman Greg Van Roten this offseason, who has eight NFL seasons under his belt. On Wednesday, he told reporters his opinion on his new teammate.

"I think Kolton [Miller] is probably one of the more underrated tackles in the league, just getting to watch him every day, how he moves, how big he is, and how consistent he plays," Van Roten told the media after practice. "He definitely should get a lot more recognition, I think nationally, than he does, but we definitely appreciate him in the room. We're happy he's on our side."

Van Roten, a guy who has seen a lot, and played with a lot of great players, is just calling it how he sees it. Miller is elite, in my opinion, and he doesn't get that recognition as an elite tackle in the league.

Last season, the offensive line started terribly. They gave up six sacks in the season's first game to the Los Angeles Chargers. They did progressively get better. One pretty good guy was Miller.

Miller finished 2022 with a Pro Football Focus grade of 84.1, a run-blocking grade of 76.6, and a pass-blocking grade of 84.8. Miller also finished with an overall PFF grade of 84 in 2021. He has been consistently one of the better tackles in the league.

He definitely needs more recognition.
