Las Vegas Raiders have come a long way since the 2023 Pro Bowl and not in a good way

The Las Vegas Raiders used to be a team that was loaded with star power. Their issues though, even when they were loaded, came with not having depth and having a bad defense. In the 2023 offseason, or the 2022 season going into the offseason, I should say.

That was the last time the gang was all together, in terms of having Darren Waller, Derek Carr, Josh Jacobs, Maxx Crosby, and Hunter Renfrow. The Raiders were loaded, and during that season, had a ton of players get voted to the first and second-team Pro Bowl and All-Pro.

Now, the Raiders have just two. It's fair to say that they have come a long way in terms of having that star power, and not in a good way.

Raiders' 2025 Pro Bowl Games

In the 2023 Pro Bowl Games, the Raiders had Derek Carr, Josh Jacobs, Davante Adams, Maxx Crosby, and punter A.J. Cole all make it. That's huge for a team, especially one that wasn't very good, to have five players make it, with three on the offensive side of the ball.

This year, it's a huge drop-off, with just two players making it. Of course, we know Maxx Crosby will always be one of those sure-fire guys in the Pro Bowl unless he gets hurt and doesn't qualify or something.

But this year, the Raiders have a rookie make it, and yes, it's exactly who you think it is. Brock Bowers, the best rookie in the entire NFL, made the Pro Bowl, as the best tight end in the NFL. He and Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, who also has the entire Taylor Swift army voting for him, are the top two voted tight end in the AFC.

Having one of your rookies being voted into the Pro Bowl in year one is very impressive. But man, don't we all miss the days when the Raiders had a ton of players in the Pro Bowl?

Brock Bowers will finish his rookie campaign against the Los Angeles Chargers this week after winning two games in a row against the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New Orleans Saints.
