The Las Vegas Raiders need to get their quarterback in this draft, but it needs to be a guy who can absolutely change the franchise's future. But, the way this draft class looks, they may have to get that guy in the first few picks.
To me, three quarterbacks fit that template for the Raiders, and all three could very well go in the top three picks. So, they would have to trade up in the draft, which is what the fan base has been wanting them to do.
And they have explored that to an extent.
According to Tashan Reed of The Athletic, the Raiders have explored moving into the top 5-7 draft picks. However, that still may not be enough to get one of the three top guys.
Not to mention, the Raiders aren't the only team who needs a quarterback. Their rival in the Denver Broncos just announced they are parting ways with Russell Wilson and will also look to get one.
It will be tough sledding for the Raiders. It certainly doesn't help that the Patriots are now officially going after a QB as well.
Patriots going after QB in the draft makes the Raiders’ attempt that much harder
The Raiders have to find a way.
