The Las Vegas Raiders are on the verge of being 2-7 as I write this, as they are losing to the 3-5 Cincinnati Bengals 31-10 in the fourth quarter. It seems impossible at this point, to score 21 more points and get several straight stops in a row to bring this one close. And, we all know this team is bad, so that just adds to the things they have going against them.

But, it's important to try and remain positive during a season as tumultuous as this one. The Raiders are a bad team, and there is no hiding that. But, they have some pretty great players that we should praise while the season is still here. Because, despite having one of the worst offenses in the league, if not the absolute worst, the Raiders have one of the better wide receivers in the league.

No, not Davante Adams, who is now on the New York Jets. I'm talking about Jakobi Meyers, who is currently breaking records and making history as we speak. He is the best receiver on this team, and while he has missed some games due to injuries, he has still been elite when he does play, also despite being on such a bad team.

On Sunday, during a game that saw the offense play pretty poorly, he made history again. Here is what the Raiders PR team tweeted out:

WR Jakobi Meyers has notched his 35th career game with 5+ receptions, tied for the 10th most in the NFL among undrafted players in their first six NFL seasons.

Meyers will be back next year, giving whichever quarterback the Raiders draft a special weapon to help him in their rookie season. Whoever they draft will have a good group of young weapons, with a great veteran in Meyers leading the unit.

The Raiders still play the Miami Dolphins, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Atlanta Falcons. Their record will only get worse.
