The Las Vegas Raiders' running back, Josh Jacobs, just lost a lot of money for the silliest reason. And knowing this is a contract year, and he fought for his right to a better contract this offseason, it sucks to see him lose as much money as he did.

The NFL is cracking down on fines this year if that's what you want to call it. They are taking money from players for the dumbest reasons, and Josh Jacobs was the most recent victim of that.

We have seen some pretty silly fines so far this year, like Josh Allen being fined $10 thousand for printing at another player. Now, Jacobs is on that list. Here is what the tweet said about Jacobs' fine:

Biggest fine from Week 9: The NFL docked Raiders RB Josh Jacobs $21,855 for unnecessary roughness on this play. The league has been cracking down on lowering the head to initiate contact.

The play was him running into a defender. That's it. He lowered his shoulder a bit, but certainly not enough to warrant the fine. The tweet has been going around, and now Jacobs has responded to it.

@NFL, y'all gotta chill with the bs

The NFL has a problem this year, and it needs to be fixed. This is crazy, especially for guys who are trying to earn that next contract. Fining players will not make them stop lowering their helmets, which has been a natural habit in football for years and years.
