The Las Vegas Raiders may have one of the best offenses in the league this season. Star tight end Darren Waller would have to be a vital piece of that. The trio of Waller, Davante Adams, and Hunter Renfrow is one of the most well-rounded groups of targets in the NFL. Waller has fought through an injury during training camp, though. Josh McDaniels' latest comments aren't particularly positive regarding his return for the Raiders.

Of course, McDaniels and co. will keep any info on Waller close to the vest. That being said, the Raiders need him to be healthy to begin the season. They open the season against the Los Angeles Chargers. That game is sure to be a shootout, and it could be massive for division positioning down the road.

In the AFC West, every game against a divisional opponent will be even more important this year. Every team is equipped with enough talent to win the division.

McDaniels' comments about Waller seem to point that they are unsure how serious his injury may be in a couple more weeks. At the very least, it is good that he said he "isn't concerned" about Waller. That probably points to his absence not being too significant as of yet.

Regardless, the best thing for the Raiders and football, in general, is a healthy season from Darren Waller.
