The Las Vegas Raiders are very fortunate to have a receiver like Davante Adams, who could be considered the best in the league at his position. The Raiders haven't had a receiver like that in a very long time.
Now, they have a guy who will get his, no matter who the quarterback is, no matter the offensive system. Adams is that good. However, certain things in particular make him one of the best in the league.
Raiders' Josh McDaniels separates Adams from the rest
Last year, Josh McDaniels got to work with one of the best receivers in the league, even through all of the chaos. If there is anyone who knows why Adams is one of the best, it's McDaniels, who has seen Adams have his second-most receiving yards in his career in a new offense last season with a new quarterback.
It's more than the numbers that make him great, though.
"Yeah, he's a tough guy," McDaniels said. "He doesn't miss much time and hasn't missed much time ever. In my experience with him, he doesn't miss any time on the practice field, and he's played in every game. That's their job; they know it.
"Davante is a great example for everybody of a guy who wants to go out here and compete against different competition, wants to get better, wants to improve. He made a lot of good plays yesterday, but it doesn't shock me at all that he would do that."
Adams has missed just three games in the last three seasons and didn't miss any last year. He works harder than anyone in the business, and it isn't close. McDaniels has seen that up close and personal now.
And Now Adams will have the chance to mentor some of the team's receivers who are a bit younger, but more specifically, Tre Tucker. It will be fun watching Adams play in the offense for a second straight year now, where everything will come to him.

Davante Adams takes a shot at the Raiders’ coaching staff
The Las Vegas Raiders' ship is sinking. The offense is incredibly inconsistent, and the defense cannot get stops. Las Vegas is struggling in every facet when it means the most. Star wide receiver Davante Adams had an awesome first half against the Jacksonville Jaguars today. He recorded nine receptions for 146 yards and two touchdowns. […]
