It's been a long, dramatic, and draining road to get to where we are today. The Las Vegas Raiders have been the center of the most recent drama surrounding running back Josh Jacobs.

Jacobs refused to sign his franchise tag and hasn't been at training camp because of it. But on Saturday, the news dropped.

Josh Jacobs and the Las Vegas Raiders agreed to a one-year deal worth $12 million.

The Raiders have been waiting on this. Jacobs, who is maybe the best running back in the league, is very important for this Raiders team. If they want success on the offensive side of the ball, Jacobs needs to be there.

We heard reports that he would be with the team before Week 1 of the regular season, but he tweeted that he never said that. Well, I guess they were true.

After the Raiders' loss to the Cowboys, McDaniels spoke on Jacobs being back with the team.

"I love the player, and I love the person and excited to have him back here soon…the goal will be to get him in and get going, and we'll do the right thing," McDaniels told the media.

Jacobs is basically getting a $2 million raise in 2023. Honestly, he is worth it and probably worth a lot more. Now, Raiders fans can sleep a little more soundly knowing he will be in the backfield every Sunday.
