Las Vegas Raiders Divine Deablo

The Las Vegas Raiders got one of the more underrated players in free agency, and some of the players are starting to notice it. It's no secret that the Raiders have one of the worst defenses in the league. Well, at least they did last season.

The secondary was awful last season, one of the worst, but they have made changes to the secondary to where they should be better. The same could be said about the linebacker group.

This season their defense could be much better if everything goes as planned. That was a huge reason they went and signed linebacker Robert Spillane, to help bolster one of their worst position groups on the team. Now, it's looking like they could have a solid unit with some okay debt.

A lot of that is because of the underrated signing of Spillane, who is showing his teammates that he is the real deal.

"Robert Spillane is great, man," linebacker Divine Deablo told the media. "He's a smart guy. He's teaching me things. I feel like he's a very experienced linebacker. He's hardheaded, he comes to work, he puts energy into me, and that's really hard to do. So, I'm surprised, and I'm grateful to have him here."

Spillane is going into his sixth season, so he is a savvy veteran that has seen quite a bit in this league. Not to mention, he has been on some pretty good defenses in Pittsburgh for the last four years. He has 191 total tackles, three total sacks, and eight total pass deflections in his career.

Spillane can do a little bit of everything. However, the thing that stands out the most about him, according to Deablo, is that he is teaching. Deablo is a young linebacker who actually played as a defensive back in college and transitioned to linebacker. He is part of what the Raiders believe to be their young core. Spillane will help with that, as well as the others on the depth chart.
