Maxx Crosby has another iconic Raiders moment as he gets ready for Minnesota

The days of the iconic Raiders in the 70s, 80s, and 90s are long gone. This is no longer a team people fear like they used to. However, the Las Vegas Raiders do have a player team's fear. Maxx Crosby is that guy, and the league knows that, healthy or not, he is one of the best players in all of football.
Against the Kansas City Chiefs, he said he wouldn't miss the game. Okay, that's not what he said. He actually said he would die before he doesn't play against the Chiefs. That alone is enough to bring back the nostalgia of some of the nastiest Raiders players ever, like George Atkisson, Gene Upshaw, or even Richard Seymour. Crosby is in the same category as some of those guys when we talk about embodying what it means to wear silver and black.
That moment before the Chiefs game was an iconic one. Now, he has another, as the Raiders come off of the bye week and look to take on the Minnesota Vikings.
"If I've got a heartbeat, I'm going to be out there with my brothers," Crosby told Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport on NFL Network. "I wasn't at my absolute best against the Chiefs. I was probably 60%. I'm feeling great right now."
Judging by the way Crosby's knee looked before the Chiefs game and hearing some of the things he described, it's amazing that he was even at 60%. He didn't play like he was at 100%, which was noticeable, as the Raiders sometimes kept Crosby in contain instead of making him rush the passer.
Hearing him say that, though, about having a heartbeat and playing is easily another iconic moment. The guy continues to defy the odds, and this could very well be another moment of that, as he has missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday.
As of right now, he is feeling good, though.
"I'm feeling incredible," Crosby said. "It's one of the hardest things I have ever been through. It's a blessing. I look for the positive in everything, and everything happens for a reason."
On Friday, during his morning press conference, interim head coach Antonio Pierce mentioned that Crosby would likely "be ready to roll" come Sunday, as he practiced for the first time in several weeks on Friday. He also said he still isn't sure about Kolton Miller.
It seems like we will see Crosby out on the field Sunday.
