Raiders' midseason bold predictions for the remainder of 2023-24
The Las Vegas Raiders may have changed things around when it comes to the state of the franchise in 2023-24. It looked like Josh McDaniels had this team heading toward a top-five pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Now, of course, the win over the New York Giants that got the Raiders to 4-5 is just […]

Now, of course, the win over the New York Giants that got the Raiders to 4-5 is just one game. However, what Antonio Pierce has done in a short time has just made everything feel different. This feels like a completely different team. This team feels like it's 1-0.
But, like we just said, that's just one game. It's the midseason point now, so it's about that time to make bold takes. In this case, I have one of the oldest, hottest takes someone can have on the Raiders.
Raiders midseason bold take
One of the boldest takes you could possibly have is that someone on this team will win the MVP award or that this team will win the Super Bowl. However, those just are not realistic. We know this team won't win the Super Bowl; well, most of us know that. We know this team and the players likely won't have good enough stats for an MVP award.
No, could Maxx Crosby win Defensive Player of the Year in 2023? Most certainly. He could honestly be the best defensive player in football right now. But, we are going with a different hot take than those.
My hot take is that the Raiders will make the playoffs as a wildcard team in the AFC West. They will finish second in the AFC West and make the playoffs to face a great team, and lose just like a few years ago, but make the playoffs nonetheless.
The Raiders have changed, and I truly believe that. I think, with how weak the rest of their schedule is, they win enough games to get in. We shall see, though.
