The Las Vegas Raiders recently made a move that gives them an elite title, and I think most Raiders fans would agree with me.

They signed DeAndre Carter on Tuesday. The former Los Angeles Chargers receiver had a career year last season as the team dealt with injuries, he was the wide receiver one oftentimes.

The signing was an absolute steal for the Raiders, as they signed him to a one-year deal worth $2.3 million. Essentially, as things currently stand, that is the Raiders' fourth wide receiver, which is easily better than their number two guy last year with Renfrow out when Mack Hollins was getting a lot of targets.

Having DeAndre Carter, a guy who had over 500 receiving yards last year, as the fourth guy means the Raiders will have an elite wide receiver corps. Just think, Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers, Hunter Renfrow, if he stays with the Raiders and doesn't get traded, and then Carter.

The top three guys have the ability to put up 1,000 yards in a season and have either done it or gotten really close. We know Adams can do that because he does it every year. Renfrow did it in 2021, and Meyers fell just over 100 yards short of doing it last year. Then you add Carter who as the third guy on the team finished with over 500 yards.

That is easily the best quartet of receivers in the AFC West and could be the best in the league.

But, let's say Renfrow isn't here next season because the Raiders trade him. They signed Jakobi Meyers, who plays the slot like Renfrow but is more durable and cheaper, and as far as last year was concerned, produced more. Oh, and he knows the Raiders system already from his time in New England.

Even if Renfrow gets traded away to save money, the Raiders still have one of the best trios in the league. I wouldn't say the best, as that title would probably go to the Cincinnati Bengals, but it's an elite one in my opinion.

That move to get DeAndre Carter just added even more weapons for Jimmy Garoppolo to throw to. I think, while yes, the Raiders no longer have Darren Waller, the offense can still be elite next season. This move only further helps that, as much as it may seem like it doesn't.
