There is a long rivalry between the San Francisco 49ers and the Las Vegas Raiders that stems back before the two were neighbors in the California Bay area. The two fan bases hate each other, even though the teams don't play one another as often as they would like.

Now, the Raiders have the 49ers' former quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo, who seems to fit perfectly in the silver and black.

"It's a weird situation, but there are a lot of weird situations over there in San Francisco, just to leave it at that," Garoppolo said when asked about the quarterback situation in San Fran. "But you know, I'm happy Trey [Lance] got another shot, man."

Garoppolo was then asked how he thinks San Francisco has handled their quarterback situations.

"How do you think they have handled them? It's been messy, yeah, that is a nice way to put it."

Garoppolo wanted to be traded two offseasons ago, and the 49ers could never find a deal. The two sides weren't in agreeance on much of anything, leading to a fallout.

Even though Garoppolo led them to a Super Bowl, the 49ers kept trying to get rid of him. After he hurt his ankle last season, that allowed the 49ers to give Brock Purdy a shot, which meant no going back to the free agent quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

The two teams played each other this preseason, and Garoppolo was all smiles, with some players on the opposite side. However, you can tell he is very keen on how San Francisco handles things.
