NFL.com analyst Chad Retuer recently came out with an article identifying two ideal fits for every NFL team.

When it comes to the Las Vegas Raiders, they may have found their quarterback of the future in Hendon Hooker

Hooker could be an ideal fit for the Raiders. He is coming off of a torn ACL and with Jimmy Garappolo on the roster he will not be forced into action right away. Garappolo could easily serve as a mentor and help prepare Hooker for NFL action as he recovers from his injury.

Given Garoppolo's own injury history and his age, it is safe to view him as a bridge QB. We've also seen QBs have success after learning under veterans in the past.

Dak Prescott, Aaron Rodgers, Phillip Rivers, Daunte Culpepper, and Carson Palmer all fit this criteria.

Could we see a similar story arc with Hooker?

The Raiders hold the seventh overall pick in this year's draft. Could one of Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, or Anthony Richardson fall to them? Perhaps, but it is not a guaranteed scenario. And the Raiders have been open about taking a quarterback if they deem the move worthy enough. There's a great chance Hooker will still be on the board at No. 38 overall and the Raiders will be drafting a borderline first-round talent, to some if they take him.
