Reviewing the Las Vegas Raiders' NFL Players Association report card from the 2023 season
I don't know about all of you, but when I was little, and I knew my report card was coming home, I would be terrified. I'd try to hide it, act like I didn't get mine, and, you know, every trick in the book. When the Raiders got theirs, well, let's just say they were […]
I don't know about all of you, but when I was little, and I knew my report card was coming home, I would be terrified. I'd try to hide it, act like I didn't get mine, and, you know, every trick in the book. When the Raiders got theirs, well, let's just say they were one of the good kids in school.
This is a report card you would like to ace, and the Raiders have done just that. In terms of overall grade, they have the ninth-best report card in the league and finished first in a few different categories. The one category that set them back was the head coaching category, which came in as a D grade. What does that mean? Well, we will get into that.
Every season, at the end of the league year, the NFLPA, or NFL Players Association, comes out with report cards for each team, which have several categories based on what the players graded that team on. This year, the Raiders' was good.
When the return came back, and you saw the fact the Raiders were first in several categories but still ended ninth-best, you likely questioned what it was. And then it made sense – the Raiders had Josh McDaniels as head coach last year. He was the only head coach, while Pierce was the interim, and the players are supposed to vote on the head coach, not the interim.
They gave Josh McDaniels a D grade, and the Raiders finished 32nd in that category, which is very fair.
The next worst category was team travel, which they finished 18th in the league with a C grade. It's safe to say that it could easily be better. Here are the grades and categories broken down:
The one thing that stands out is the locker room, training room, weight room, and training and strength staff, which all graded at an A+ and tied for first place.
Raiders owner Mark Davis received a rating of 8.9/10 from Raiders players when considering his willingness to invest in the facilities, which is 12th overall and a B+ grade.
The Raiders' report card was good, and it's safe to say their parents won't be yelling at them to sit on their beds and wait for the whipping they're about to get because of the bad grades.

The two could very well still have their jobs.
