The Las Vegas Raiders had a great first preseason game that saw them beat the San Francisco 49ers 34-7, propelling head coach Josh McDaniels to a 5-0 record in preseason games.

Now they are on to the Los Angeles Rams, though, where joint practices have been more than chippy. The tension has been crazy, and some of that may be from the Raiders losing to this team last season in embarrassing fashion.

While winning the game on Saturday isn't quite the same as a get-back, you still want your team to win every game they play. If three certain players play well, three guys you should watch, then it will only make winning the game easier.

3 Raiders players to watch vs. Rams

Aidan O'Connell, QB – After the game he had last week, you have to watch for his next game. The rookie quarterback played a perfect game. When you factor in that he played his first-ever game, yet he missed just three passes of the 18 he threw, it gets even crazier. And then, two of those incompletions were drops by the receivers, so he could have been 17/18.

O'Connell ran the offense to perfection. If he can do it again on Saturday against the Rams, then there is a trend we are seeing that has to be paid attention more. If he plays well, O'Connell could end up moving up the depth chart.

Cole Fatheringham, TE – Right now, the Raiders are looking for that fourth tight end, or maybe even a guy who could climb into that third spot that Jesper Horstead currently occupies. For Fatheringham, he played extremely well last game.

Fatheringham was one of O'Connell's favorite targets last game, so we could see a trend that finds Fatheringham having a great game. Last week he finished with five catches for 71 yards, the leading receiver on the team.

Chris Smith, S – We didn't hear a ton of Smith's name being called last game, which is slight because he wasn't messing up a lot. But now we need to see if he can make some plays and be hat playmaker that the Raiders need him to be.

Even though it won't be the starters, Smith will have his hands full with a good skill group that the Rams have. Watch for him to be a guy that's disruptive.
