Las Vegas Raiders rookie reflects on his 2024 season after being thrown into the fire

The Las Vegas Raiders went through a rough patch this year. Well, they went through a lot of rough patches, or just one big rough patch the entire season. This was a season that was a bit of a disappointment, by many standards. No one expected them to be a team that wins a Super Bowl, but for the people covering this team, we certainly didn't see them having four wins.
But, a lot of good has happened. They have had injuries, which isn't the good I'm referencing, but that has allowed young players, such as rookies or inexperienced players in general, to get some shine. And that has allowed the Raiders to see what they have in those guys.
One of them has been DJ Glaze, who filled in for Thayer Munford, who never really recovered from the few injuries he had. The third-round pick out of Maryland showed some promise as a potential piece to build the offensive line around.
And when I say build around, I mean when the Raiders draft over the next few years, he may not be a player or position they have to worry about for some time. He had a good rookie season given everything that happened.
"I feel like Antonio Pierce and the coaches do a great job of keeping us in it and fresh. I think I've done a good job so far," Glaze said after their win over the New Orleans Saints.
The Raiders got significant help from their rookies up front in Jackson Powers-Johnson and Glaze, who were both kind of thrown into the fire as rookies. And, I'd say they responded pretty well, too.
Now, he wasn't perfect, but he was fine given everything they went through. He allowed just three sacks on the year after playing 626 pass-blocking snaps. He also allowed 47 pressures on the year. A third-round rookie fared pretty well, I'd say.
After a two-game win streak over the Jacksonville Jaguars and Saints, the Raiders are looking like they could have a good opportunity to beat the Los Angeles Chargers.
