The Las Vegas Raiders are 1-3 but are heading back in the right direction after a win over the Denver Broncos last week. Now, they will face the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football.

Even if they lose to a red-hot Chiefs team on Monday, this team is still heading in the right direction. Not everyone beats Kansas City, especially when they are looking as dominant as they are now.

This team now has an identity, which is something they struggled with before. As for head coach Josh McDaniels, he likes the culture that is being built.

"Yeah, I am," McDaniels said when asked if he is happy with the culture. "And again, I go back to this, it ultimately will be their culture. So regardless of what I say or what our coaches may say, or want us to do, at the end of the day, it is really what they are going to believe in.

"The only thing we have said is, you know we think it is the right approach to, each week have the same urgency, the same attention to detail, the same work ethic, the same attitude, and put the same amount into it, regardless of what happened the game before. And I just think, just in general terms, that the way we would approach most things in our lives… I think they have really done a great job with their approach and the work they have put in…"

In my personal opinion, I can tell this team is in a much better headspace than where they were before Week 4. You can hear it in the press conferences, too.

The Raiders can still make a shot at the playoffs, and it isn't out of the conversation at all. Let's just be frank for a second. If the Raiders lose on Monday, and they very well could, then the season still isn't over as the hardest part of their schedule is out of the way.

Now, if they win on Monday, the Raiders are in a perfect position to overtake the second-place spot for the division. And possibly first place in a few weeks of everything going well.

This team is definitely different, and you could tell throughout this whole week. I wouldn't be surprised if they came out with a fire lit under them on Monday.
