The Las Vegas Raiders need more help in their secondary. Duke Shelley and David Long Jr. are projected to be their starting outside cornerbacks. They have shown flashes of impressive play over the past two seasons, but the upside is limited.
According to a report from Ian Rapport today, the Raiders are aware of their CB weakness. They are hosting free-agent CB Marcus Peters for a visit on Monday.
Peters is a former All-Pro and Pro Bowl cornerback. He would provide a veteran, proven presence on the back-end of the defense for the Raiders.
In eight NFL seasons, Peters has 32 interceptions and 346 total tackles. Peters would immediately slot into a starting role for Vegas.
