On Wednesday, the Las Vegas Raiders made one of their weekly practice squad moves that they make every Wednesday. They signed a wide receiver to the practice squad after letting two guys go earlier this week.
According to the Raiders' PR team on Twitter, they are signing former Montana Grizzlies receiver Malik Flowers, who happens to be an FCS record holder.
According to the New Orleans Saints team page, as Flowers was signed there previously, he returned 92 kickoffs for a Big Sky conference-record 2,659 yards (school-best 28.9 avg.) with seven touchdowns, which is tied for an FCS record with current Saint Rashid Shaheed.
Flowers also caught 51 passes for 716 yards with four touchdowns and carried 16 times for 251 yards (15.7 avg.)
Flowers has speed that he utilizes really well. With the Raiders, they want to have another backup plan at the return spots with Deandre Carter.
