The combo of the Las Vegas Raiders and quarterback Derek Carr is coming to a close. Both sides are ready for a fresh start, but that didn't stop a surprising decision from happening today.

Carr was selected to the NFL Pro Bowl. It is his 4th invite to the league's event.

The Raiders QB compiled 3522 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions this season. There were highs and lows for him once again this year.

Carr's season was certainly disappointing. That being said, the Super Bowl and injuries have taken some of the other potential QBs out of the running for the event's festivities.

For the Raiders, they are still looking to move on from Carr. This didn't change that – of course.

The New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, and others have been reportedly interested in making a move for Carr. The selection to the Pro Bowl boosts Carr's resume just a bit more. The Raiders won't mind that at all, but the compensation for him probably hasn't changed too much.

It'll be interesting to see what they can get in return for their QB.
