The Las Vegas Raiders entered Week 17 as quite the underdog.
They easily outplayed expectations against the San Francisco 49ers and almost snuck out a win. The offense definitely deserved to get the victory. F
irst-time starter quarterback Jarrett Stidham dominated one of the best defenses in the entire NFL.
It was a shocker to most fans and media members around the league. Most folks expected the Raiders' offense to struggle, but that wasn't the case at all. Although, apparently one star of the Raiders knew what was coming from Stidham and the offense on Sunday.
Davante Adams had a lot of belief in his new QB.
Adams mentions that Stidham may not have a ton of experience in the NFL, but his preparation is clear every week. Now that he's the starting quarterback, even more of the team got to be put on notice for what he could do in practice.
Then, on Sunday, he backed it up and played really well.
Adams says that Stidham took control of the huddle during the game against the 49ers. His leadership was on full display, and he showed plenty of emotion throughout the game.
Stidham is getting tons of praise from a plethora of teammates even after the loss. He competed, and they appreciate that.
The young QB took a handful of tough hits and continued to make impressive throws. His demeanor was clear.
For Stidham and the Raiders, it is unknown what his future is in Las Vegas. Week 18 will be another chance for him to show the Raiders that he may be their future at quarterback.
Regardless, his performance in Week 17 was a really impressive one that made plenty of people take another glance at the young QB.
