The Las Vegas Raiders are always a team that demands attention when it comes to the trade market and the free agent market. They usually like to spend money and they are in the entertainment capital of the United States.
Oh, and it's the Raiders – who doesn't want to play in the silver and black?
That's what a lot of this offseason has been about, especially when it comes to the guy everyone calls the greatest of all time in Tom Brady.
Before he announced his retirement, everyone thought that Las Vegas would be a destination for him to go to. Unfortunately for Raiders fans, he retired.
But, if we know anything or learned anything from the last time he retired, it's that you never know if he is really done. We got a small dose of that on Thursday with one of his announcements, as he likely made every Raiders fan gasp.
He posted a video on Twitter and said that he was "excited to join the Las Vegas Aces" but the short and subtle pause after Vegas is what got a lot of people on their toes.
I'm sure when everyone got the notification on their phone that had the words Tom Brady and Las Vegas it made everyone double take too.
Obviously, he isn't coming back, and the Raiders have their quarterback, but I think most of us still get caught up a bit on trying to imagine Tom Brady bringing the franchise their first playoff win in over 21 years.
On a serious note though, you have to be happy for Brady. He looks like he is enjoying his retirement life. And, it's great he is getting into something else that involves sports. But most importantly, it's great that the Raiders will never have to play that man again.
