The Las Vegas Raiders are going to be in search of a quarterback at the 2024 NFL Draft, so we think. They currently have Aidan O'Connell and Gardner Minshew on the roster, but it feels like neither is the quarterback or face of the franchise. That's where the draft comes in.

If there hadn't been a draft order and it had first come, first serve, we know that Antonio Pierce would already have Jayden Daniels on the Raiders by now. The two have a history and have made it very clear that they would like to be on the same team. However, that's not how this all works.

Since the Raiders are at pick No. 13, and Daniels is now being projected to go second overall, their chances of getting him are very slim. However, the conversation has focused on the Raiders taking guys like Michael Penix and Bo Nix in the second round at pick 44, should they be available.

Penix's stock rose after his pro day when he ran a 4.46 and a 37-inch vertical. Now, there is a chance the Raiders will have to take him at pick No. 13, which not only throws a wrench in their plans if they have any for him but also means they could get snagged before that.

Much like J.J. McCarthy, who has flown up into potentially the top five picks, Penix's stock is doing the same.

According to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, things are heating up for Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. He has several top-30 visits, but most notably with the Raiders, Denver Broncos, Atlanta Falcons, and Washington Commanders.

The Raiders will have to do their best to get him if they truly want him.
