The Las Vegas Raiders have been involved in trade rumors with Davante Adams since, what feels like the dawn of time. But, they were always shut down by the Raiders, Adams, and the Raiders fan base. But, now, there is no more battling the rumors, Adams wants to go, and his wish is being granted.

To start this whole process, which officially took off a few weeks ago, Adams gave a list of teams that he wouldn't mind being traded to. The top two teams on that list — the New York Jets and the New Orleans Saints, are the two teams with his former quarterbacks.

The Raiders have done best by what they need and what they're looking for. They originally wanted at least a second-round pick and an additional pick in return. It took a minute for teams to get to any level near that, but, things did start intensifying this week.

Now, it's official that Adams is no longer a Raider after a trade has finally gone through. The Raiders are sending the superstar wide receiver to the New York Jets for a conditional third-rounder that can become a second-rounder, in return, according to Adam Schefter.

While fans will be happy that all of the drama is finally over, and the team can finally get back to focusing on just football, fans may be disappointed in this trade. Many fans, a large portion of the fan base, assume the Raiders will get a first-round pick back because Adams is considered the best of the best. But, that was never going to happen.

Instead, they get something that they feel like is much less than what they would have gotten. Schefter later reported that the Jets are paying all of Davante Adams' contract. So, while it may seem like the Raiders lost the trade because they got at worst a third round pick, they kind of won this trade, at least for their situation.

They get his contract off the books, and they get a pick. All of that is much better than the direction the trade seemed to be heading to. Now that all of this is behind them, they can focus on the Los Angeles Rams and Week 7.
