Second-year Raider set to be a breakout player in 2023
Raiders second-year player is predicted to breakout in 2023 season.
The beauty of the offseason is its inherent optimism.
It feels as though every player on the roster can reach their unlimited potential. And that is part of the fun: Predicting which player will break out in the following season and play above their contract expectations.
In a recent Pro Football Focus article by Zoltán Buday, he predicted that the 2023 break-out player for the Las Vegas Raiders could be cornerback Tyler Hall.
Here is what Buday had to say about Hall heading into the 2023 season:
"It is yet to be seen how big of a role Hall can have on the Raiders' defense, as he is projected to be a backup cornerback in 2023. However, based on his play in 2022, he could very well earn some additional playing time and be expected to take advantage of that. He only played in the second half of the 2022 season and was on the field for just 218 snaps. Nevertheless, he earned the third-highest coverage grade among cornerbacks over the last eight weeks of the season. In addition, he allowed just 0.28 receiving yards per coverage snap, which was the lowest mark in the entire league."
Hall is entering his second season with the Raiders. And last season, he tallied 12 solo tackles. In the passing game, Hall was targeted 18 times, and he allowed nine receptions. His PFF grade was 86.9.
If the Raiders are able to get a breakout performance from Hall, the team may be able to expedite the rebuilding process.
