The Las Vegas Raiders are going to need a new quarterback quite soon. Their time with Derek Carr is coming to an end.
Since the end of the regular season, rumors about the future of Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay have swirled.
No one knows if the Packers will move on from him, but that wont stop anyone from speculating. He signed an extension last off-season, but Green Bay has disappointed with Rodgers over the past few seasons.
That being said, Rodgers is a multi-MVP winner. He is a veteran QB with a proven history of domination against defenses.
For the Raiders, a veteran could make some sense for them during this off-season. They may or may not be able to take one of the top three quarterbacks in this year's NFL Draft.
It is tough to project rookie quarterbacks. Accordingly, Josh McDaniels and company could decide that Rodgers is a better option for right now. The Raiders believe that they can contend in the AFC with a strong off-season, so only time will tell.
Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams spent much of his early career with Rodgers as his QB. The two developed a very strong relationship, and Adams had some great seasons in Green Bay.
Adams had a clear point of view on the idea that Rodgers could join him in Las Vegas.
The Raiders WR would definitely advocate for the organization to bring in the veteran to be their new QB.
Adding Rodgers to an offense with Adams, Darren Waller, and possibly Josh Jacobs would be something special in Vegas.
Derek Carr struggled at times this past season, but Rodgers is a different veteran talent than Carr.
