Rams, Raiders

Let's just start by saying this game was absolutely insane. I, along with millions of others around the world, did not expect to see Baker Mayfield lead his team to a win after being with the Rams for just 48 hours. Let alone expect the Las Vegas Raiders blow a 13-point lead to the 3-9 Rams.

But, as Derek Carr stated after the game, "these are professionals… this is the NFL," which he is right. But man, this was not the way I expected the win streak to be ended.

And, I mean really, it's one thing that happened that really you could blame the Raiders for in terms of them losing the game. Obviously, the fourth-quarter defense and offense need to be better. The defense shouldn't have allowed two touchdowns in the fourth quarter alone.

They also should not have allowed a 98-yard game-winning drive. On that drive, though, something happened, and it really blew my mind. I think I wasn't the only one, either.

"To be honest with you, I was completely shocked they lined up in press coverage with 15 seconds left," Rams' quarterback Baker Mayfield said after the game about the last play that resulted in the game-winning touchdown.

Really though. We talk about Patrick Graham, the defensive coordinator, being so experienced and the defense eventually clicking, but that call was on him. Why would you want your cornerbacks pressing in man coverage with that little of time left?

In situations like that, with that much time and that little of space, you want your team in some type of zone coverage. Maybe that was Mayfield sending a shot at the Raiders' defense or coaching staff. I mean, he has been a guy that is known to speak his mind and be very blunt.

Who knows, but it was subtle, and it definitely doesn't need to happen again.
