The Las Vegas Raiders need a ton of work done to their roster, and really, the only remaining way to address it for the future is through the 2025 NFL Draft. The Raiders have the No. 6 pick, and they can do a ton of things to kick off their draft night.

There are so many different combinations of things the Raiders can do, especially when you look at all of the holes on the roster. For the most part, it's been Ashton Jeanty at No. 6, or maybe a cornerback now that Jack Jones has been released. The possibility of Shedeur Sanders at pick No. 6 has even been thrown out as well.

But that all could change, and now, they could go in a completely different direction than what's been predicted so far. With some recent news regarding one of their best players, the Raiders could take a player in the 2025 NFL Draft that will follow a similar recipe for success as teams like the Philadelphia Eagles.

Raiders OT Kolton Miller is seeking a contract extension

Miller is one of the last remaining players who played for the Oakland Raiders, just like Maxx Crosby. So, he's been around for some time now, and he's played at a very high level during his career. He's not even 30 years old yet, and wants to keep playing for the Raiders for at least a few more years.

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Miller is not going to participate in voluntary offseason workouts as he seeks a new contract extension. The Raiders have the money to extend him, but Folwer has reported that the Raiders haven't even started extension talks with Miller yet. That doesn't mean they will, and it doesn't mean they won't, but it certainly sets up for a dramatic pick at No. 6 in just eight days.

Instead of drafting the Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, the Raiders could go with Missouri offensive tackle Armand Membou, the best tackle in the class by a wide margin. How can the Raiders run the ball with Jeanty if they don't have anyone blocking for him?

Sure, Miller probably deserves to get paid, but when you look at his production over the last few years, it's easy to see the Raiders moving on from him or even trading him. In 2023, he played 13 games and only started in 11 of them due to injuries. Last year, he played through injuries, and his play took a significant hit. Miller and D.J. Glaze, the Raiders' two offensive tackles, were top ten in blown blocks last season. The Raiders also allowed the fifth-most sacks in the league.

It's very easy to see them going with an offensive tackle early in this draft.
