The NFL world was set on fire in the second quarter of the Raiders-Chiefs Monday Night Football game. There was an extremely questionable roughing the passer call on Chiefs' DL Chris Jones.

Jones sacked Derek Carr, forced and recovered a fumble, but he was flagged for unnecessary roughness for placing his body weight on the Raiders' QB.

It was yet another weak roughing the passer call just a day after social media erupted over the same penalty call in the Bucs-Falcons game.

Respectfully, it was just a soft call. It didn't need to happen.

Player safety is certainly important. Tackling the quarterback must still be allowed in the NFL, though.

Regardless, the call did not help the Raiders for very long. From the time of the call in the second quarter until the start of the fourth quarter, the refs were all over the Raiders.

To be fair, the calls weren't very questionable on the Raiders' behalf. It's quite the coincidence, though. The quantity is what is definitely noticeable.

The Chiefs' crowd at Arrowhead Stadium lost their minds after the questionable roughing the passer call that went in favor of the Raiders.

There's certainly reason to think that they affected the refs' actions that followed.
