The Las Vegas Raiders finally pulled the trigger. With the way everything started to go, it was looking like there would be a possibility that the Raiders keep Adams and just try to trade him after the season. But, they ended up sending him to the New York Jets on Tuesday morning.

With the trade done, one that the fan base initially will not like until they dive a bit deeper, the team can finally focus on football. They will need to with two tough opponents coming up in the Los Angeles Rams and the Kansas City Chiefs. But, that's a different topic for a different day.

The trade is done and that means it's time to react. Did the Raiders win the trade? Did the Jets win the trade? Did Davante Adams win because he got his wish? Well, those are all great questions with all different answers. To put it short, Tom Telesco, the Raiders general manager, won this trade.

Here are three reasons how:

3 ways Raiders won trade with Jets

They get Adams' contract off the books

Adam Schefter tweeted out after the deal was done, that the Raiders are getting a conditional third-round pick and are getting all of Adams' contract off of the books. See, a lot of people thought it would be impossible for the Raiders to walk away from this situation with a day-two pick and none of Adams' contract on their books.

But, they managed to find a way. Sometimes teams, when they trade players away with big contracts, have to continue paying some of that contract. For example, the Denver Broncos are still paying Russell Wilson. The Raiders will not be tied to Adams any longer.

Raiders get a potential second-round pick

Initially, it started to look like the Raiders would not be able to get a second-round pick out of this trade. And it eventually would have headed towards the Raiders getting maybe lower than a third-rounder. But, they were able to fleece the Jets and get them to send a pick that could very well end up a second-rounder.

And, here's the thing, the Jets still won't be good. They have the same internal offensive issues with Nathaniel Hackett that the Raiders have with Luke Getsy. So, that pick could be better than we initially thought. And, hey, if the Jets are good, then whatever, it's a third-rounder maybe a second-rounder.

Raiders still found a way to honor Adams

This is important here because the Raiders pride themselves on being a team that honors their players, alumni, and any other player who's been traded away. If they did him dirty by sending him to the Carolina Panthers, or something like that, it could have tarnished their reputation.

They want to keep that, because the way they are viewed around the league when it comes to professionalism with players, is something that only benefits them with free agents and other players. But, at the same time, they are sending him to another team with the same issues. Let's face it, Aaron Rodgers hasn't been great this year, and they don't have a head coach in New York, and have the same record as the Raiders. So, that's a big win there, too.

The Raiders season is not done. They can still turn this into something positive. They can use this as fuel to show that Adams made the wrong decision. I bet a lot of these players are going to be pissed off. Time to prove that on the field.
