The Kansas City Chiefs could be headed somewhere new for a game during the 2025 season.
On Wednesday, the Chargers announced they will open their season in Brazil on Friday, Sept. 5, which means that the Chiefs could potentially be picked as the away team for that game.
Let's be real… the NFL loves to put the Chiefs in primetime. So, Week 1 in São Paulo, Brazil seems to be the perfect time and place.
The game will be played at Corinthians Arena, home to Brazilian soccer team SC Corinthians.
The NFL played their integral game in Brazil last season, with the Green Bay Packers designated as the home team. They faced off against the Philadelphia Eagles.
And it was clearly a success as they are headed back for a second year in a row.
The NFL will be playing seven international games during the 2025 season.
Along with the Chargers in Brazil, there will be three games in London along with one game in Berlin, Madrid, and Dublin.
- Los Angeles Chargers to play in Brazil Week 1
- New York Jets to play at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
- Cleveland Browns to play at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
- Jacksonville Jaguars to play at Wembley Stadium.
- Indianapolis Colts to play in Berlin
- Miami Dolphins to play in Madrid
- Pittsburgh Steelers to play in Dublin
So, maybe the Chiefs will get an opportunity to travel abroad.
