The Denver Broncos have one of the most complete rosters in all of football. In fact, after the first wave of free agency, ESPN listed them as the No. 5 roster in all of football.

Still, there are a handful of pressing team needs that need to be addressed, and the draft is the perfect way of doing that. Denver doesn’t hold a first-round pick after trading for superstar wide receiver Jaylen Waddle from the Miami Dolphins. Denver gave up the No. 30 selection plus their third and fourth-rounders in exchange for Waddle and a fourth.

There are going to be plenty of options on the table for a team with seven draft picks.

It’s that time of year when players from college are visiting teams, and the Broncos are visiting with one of the top guards in the draft. As Mike Klis reported, the Broncos are visiting with Oregon guard Emmanuel Pregnon.

As a user on X pointed out, it would be a dream pickup, though the Bronocs might need to trade up if they’re serious about taking him. He’s going to have plenty of suitors as starting-caliber guards are hard to come by.

Denver Broncos to host Oregon guard Emmanuel Pregnon for a visit

Pregnon is widely considered a top-three or four guard in the draft. What makes the visit even better is that he’s from Denver and went to high school at Thomas Jefferson. He jumped around in college, playing three years at Wyoming, two at USC, and last season at Oregon, where he started 15 games for the team and looked exceptional doing so.

A to Z Sports’ Ryan Roberts broke down what makes Pregnon so special ahead of the visit. Needless to say, Broncos Country should be pounding the table for head coach Sean Payton and the front office to take a serious look at selecting him in the upcoming draft.

“Emmanuel Pregnon began his career as a notable performer while at Wyoming. He was able to utilize the transfer portal prior to the 2024 season and ended up with the USC Trojans. Blessed with a massive frame and solid overall athleticism, his physical profile has been an easy one to bet on. During his first season with the Trojans, Pregnon struggled in terms of consistency with his technique.

“We saw big improvements in that department during his final season in 2025. Pregnon has now become one of the safer overall players in the 2026 class. While he isn’t flashy and is a bit scheme-specific, he has the look of a quality starter. For a team that wants to get physical and downhill in the run game, Pregnon is an easy potential fit.” – Ryan Roberts

If the Broncos are serious about building a sustainable winner around quarterback Bo Nix, this is exactly the type of move that can’t be overlooked. It’s not flashy, it won’t win you the press conference, but it’s the type of selection that keeps your franchise quarterback upright and your offense on schedule.

And if it just so happens to bring a hometown talent back to Denver? That’s the kind of story Broncos Country can rally behind in a hurry.

Now the question is simple: will Denver be aggressive enough to go get him before someone else does in the draft? Only time will tell.
