Chargers tried to claim Diontae Johnson

The Baltimore Ravens placed Johnson on waivers last week after multiple weeks of simply no production from the veteran wideout. There was plenty of drama involved.
The Ravens suspended Johnson for one game after he refused to play against the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this year. Then, his release followed.
Johnson has proven himself as a useful target in the league earlier in his career, but this season has not been impressive for him. He will look to reignite his NFL fire with C.J. Stroud.

With McConkey banged up (but playing through it), Los Angeles was trying to add another depth option to the WR sector of the depth chart. Now, they will have to look elsewhere if they want to add another pass catcher.
