Aaron Donald was a generational talent. Not many could dominate on the defensive line like he could.

However, moving forward, the Los Angeles Rams may be able to patch together a quality pass-rush play due to its dynamic duo at the edge rusher position.

The Rams have one of the younger pass-rushing duos in the NFL with second-year man Byron Young and rookie Jared Verse. But age doesn't quantify ability. And Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula believes the duo has the talent to be special.

“One of the things we knew, when we drafted Jared, we’d heard the reports about him and it’s exactly what we wanted,” Shula said Wednesday.

“He’s brought a great energy to that group. Byron’s coming out of his shell from last year, having some success. Obviously, Mike Hoecht brings great leadership and [Nick] Hampton’s like the silent assassin of the group. So, it’s a special group that’s just growing day to day and it’s been fun to watch.”

Replacing Donald will be impossible. However, the Rams may be alright moving forward with a good mixture of young and old.
