The Los Angeles Rams are in position to enter the NFC playoffs with incredible momentum if they can win their final two games and officially win the NFC West.
But before they do, the NFL is hitting rookie Jared Verse with news he doesn't want to hear ahead of their Week 17 matchup vs. their NFC West rivals, the Arizona Cardinals.
NFL fines Jared Verse for action committed during the Rams' Week 16 win vs. Jets
The NFL is fining Rams rookie edge rusher Jared Verse for an action they deemed to be "Unnecessary Roughness" in Week 16. The league shared that the action was committed during the third quarter of the game, with 7:10 left on the clock.
Verse is being fined $15,287.00, which is not a small price either. The NFL handed out 23 fines for Week 16, 15 of which were for acts they deemed to be "Unnecessary Roughness." Verse's fine was the second-most expensive in that group, only behind San Francisco 49ers' Fred Warner, who was fined $16,883.00.
Verse has had a great season so far in 2024. He is the favorite by many to be named this season's NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. And the Rams are in the drivers seat to win the NFC West if they win their final two games. So Verse will need to put this fine in the back of his mind and continue to add to his impressive season.
