Los Angeles Rams kicker Joshua Karty has been named NFC Special Teams Player of the Month for December/January.
Karty ended the regular season on a tear, converting on each of his 13 field goal attempts in December and January – including three from 50-or-more yards. He was the only kicker in the NFC to convert 13-or-more field goals without a miss, and he recorded 50 points total during his final six games.
Karty is the first Rams' first rookie kicker to ever win Special Teams Player of the Month. On the season as a whole, he connected on 29-34 field goal attempts, including 6-7 from 50-or-more yards. With 32-36 extra points made, Karty scored a total of 119 points in 2024.
Los Angeles drafted Karty in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. For his stellar season, Karty named to the Pro Football Writers Association All-Rookie team. It's safe to say that the Rams have found their kicker of the future after going through two different kickers in 2023.
L.A. will lean on Karty is they make their postseason run. Playoff games are usually tight and often come down to field goal attempts, so hopefully he can rise to the occasion. Karty hasn't missed a kick since November 24th, and has scored more field goals (12) than the Rams' offense has touchdowns (4) over the past four games.

Hopefully it doesn’t come to this.
