Kyren Williams, the Los Angeles Rams' running back, has burst onto the scene during his second year in the league.

In several ways, his skill set has allowed the Rams offense to reach new heights after a slow start.

But the star runner may be an MVP on the field in more ways than one.

Since the fantasy playoffs began, Williams has the most rushing yards with 370, according to Pro Football Focus.

In second place is Christian McCaffrey who has 363 rushing yards.

Williams has been the Rams' MVP on the field in recent weeks. In the last six games, he has rushed for over 100 yards in five of the six contests.

In that stretch, the Rams are 5-1. The team's only loss came at the hands of a championship-contending Baltimore Ravens squad, which recently dismantled the San Francisco 49ers.

It has been Williams' play, coupled with the high-level performances from Matthew Stafford, that have some believing the Rams could be able to run the tables if they get into the NFL Playoff.

"When he’s in the lineup and when he is not, it’s a very different theme for us," McVay said on Dec. 18. "I could say that about a couple of guys, but he has been a big spark plug … I’m really happy for him. I want to just continue to see him make strides, but happy for Kyren and all his success, and it’s been earned.”

Williams is the Rams' key to success, but as it turns out, fantasy team owners who have Williams on their roster are also fairing quite well.
