There's a lot of joy heading around the Los Angeles Rams after fleecing the Atlanta Falcons in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, nabbing their second-round pick in 2025 and first-round pick in 2026. While the additional 2026 first-round pick will spark a lot of discussion, the Rams do still have plenty of picks left to make in 2025.
To secure the deal, they had to give up one of their third-rounders, #101, leaving them with only two picks on Day Two of the 2025 NFL Draft. What should they do with them to maximize the deal moving forward?
Los Angeles Rams 2025 NFL Day Two Mock Draft
#46: Carson Schwesinger, LB, UCLA
It sounds like this will be the year the Rams add a linebacker early on in the draft, and local product Carson Schwesinger would be a perfect addition for the Rams' defense. His coverage ability and leadership would be massive on a defensive unit lacking in both.
Omar Speights was taken off the field frequently on third downs and passing situations, and the rest of their room doesn't have a worthwhile coverage option there to shore up the middle of the defense.
The Rams need that kind of playmaking in their linebacker room if they want to avoid a repeat of their loss to the Eagles in the playoffs last year.
#90: Tory Horton, WR, Colorado State
Tory Horton is a smooth operator out in space, with very good route-running chops and ball skills. The Rams tried to land a similar, albeit more talented, prospect in Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan in the first round of the draft, and it's clear that wide receiver is a priority for them right now.
Horton's ability makes him a fit both outside and inside, letting Puka Nacua take on more reps in the slot where he can avoid press coverage as often and do more damage after the catch.
