When the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, the betting calendar already started looking toward the 2024 NFL season.

The odds for Super Bowl LIX are already open, and for those hoping the Los Angeles Rams are favored, well you will be disappointed.

The Rams are +3,500 to win the Super Bowl and +1,500 to win the NFC, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.

Though the odds are stacked against the Rams, there is still ample opportunity for improvement in the offseason.

Heading into the 2023 season, it looked like the Rams were heading toward a rebuild. Then Matthew Stafford was reborn.

There was also the emergency of Puka Nacua, who made all the difference for the Rams in the early weeks while Cooper Kupp dealt with injuries.

Kyren Williams also enjoyed a breakout season, as he became the Rams' first 1,000-yard rusher since Todd Gurley dawned Los Angeles' colors.

And on defense, Kobie Turner looked like a player who can anchor the Rams' defense for seasons to come.

In the offseason, the Rams will have to address the pass rush, which may involve making a trade for Philadelphia's Haason Reddick. The Rams will also have to improve the secondary, which was torn apart in the NFL playoffs against the Detroit Lions.

All of that is possible to do in one offseason. Helping the Rams in a rare first-round draft pick as well. The jury is still out on whether Los Angeles uses it. But the option is still there.

In short, the Rams' odds aren't great. But there is a legit avenue to improvement where the Rams could enter the 2024 NFL season as the hunter instead of the hunted.
