Don't turn away– the Los Angeles Rams are streaking, and people are starting to take notice.

In USA Today's weekly NFL Power Rankings, the Rams earned more love but also tallied a bold claim that could inspire or haunt the team for the foreseeable future.

The Rams moved into the top eight in Power Rankings, coming in at No. 8. But more interesting than the Rams' overall position compared to the other teams in the league were the words used by Nate Davis to describe Sean McVay's never-say-die bunch.

"Has any offense been better since Thanksgiving, LA averaging 32.4 points and 433.8 yards over its past five outings?" Davis writes. "If the Rams are indeed peaking at the right time, another Super Bowl push is hardly out of the question."

Could the Rams make a Super Bowl run?

Maybe.

After starting 2-2, with a laundry list of injuries, McVay and quarterback Matthew Stafford have the Rams sitting at 8-7.

In the last six games, the Rams are 5-1. The team's only loss came by way of an overtime matchup with the surging Baltimore Ravens.

Most recently, the Rams dispatched the New Orleans Saints in a game that held heavy playoff implications for each team involved. Stafford used that Thursday night platform to lead his offense to a 33-point outing that included two touchdown passes of his own.

Stafford has played the best football of his career since the calendar turned to December, and there has been no indication that his play is going to regress any time soon.

The Rams are punchy. They are fun. In many ways, they are the aging heavyweight boxer who still has a plethora of power but lost his speed. On the right night, with the right punch, they still have it.

But can the Rams do it in the NFL Playoffs? That is the question everyone wants an answer to. And if McVay's bunch keep playing as they have been, it is only a matter of time until that question is answered.
