With the 2025 NFL Draft officially over and the Rams' crop of rookies mostly settled, it's time to take a look at the rest of the Rams roster and how the crop of rookies will shape the rest of the team.
While the draft didn't overhaul or shake up much of the roster, some key players find themselves secure for this season or on the outs heading into the last part of the offseason.
Los Angeles Rams 2025 NFL Draft Winners & Losers
Winner: Stetson Bennett
After much speculation that the Rams would draft a quarterback, they completely bypassed the position and (so far) haven't even brought in a UDFA, keeping Bennett's spot on the roster safe. For now.
He keeps his hopes alive of sticking as the QB3 for the season.
Loser: Nick Hampton
I could also put Brennan Jackson here, but after two years of little return, the pressure is on for Nick Hampton to deliver on his selection after being drafted in the fifth round in the 2023 NFL Draft. The Rams drafted Josaiah Stewart in the third round, which drops the number of available snaps significantly this season. If he wants to make an impact and stick on the team, now would be the time to step up.
Winner: Tutu Atwell
Wide receiver was a commonly mocked player to the Rams, and while the team did select one in the seventh round, it's unlikely that Konata Mumpfield will overlap with Atwell's role, unlike a rookie such as Luther Burden III or Emeka Egbuka would have.
While I'm not convinced the Rams are done at wide receiver this offseason, Atwell's role and snaps remain locked in. It's up to him to keep that assured for the rest of the offseason.
Loser: Tyler Davis
A year after being a sixth-round selection and playing over 300 snaps, suddenly, Tyler Davis is on the outside looking in for snaps after the Rams signed Poona Ford and traded significant capital to move up to draft Ohio State defensive tackle Ty Hamilton in the fifth round this year.
I thought he was a capable run defender last season and as a draft prospect, but there are suddenly few snaps available between Kobie Turner, Braden Fiske, Ford, and Hamilton.
Winner: Cobie Durant & Darious Williams
Cornerback was the most-mocked position for the Rams leading up to the draft. Turns out, they felt differently, as they didn't select a single cornerback in the entire 2025 NFL Draft. They haven't even signed one as a UDFA yet (so far).
A high pick would have dropped both Durant and Williams's snaps this season, whether he was outright replacing one in the lineup or forcing them to eat into each other's snaps. Durant and Williams are poised to remain the starting cornerbacks for the Rams this season. At least, for now.
Loser: Nate Landman & Troy Reeder
The Rams' selection of Chris "Pooh" Paul gives them an instant starter at linebacker. I have zero doubt in my mind that Paul can start in week one for the Rams alongside Omar Speights.
That drops the value of both Landman and Reeder for this team. Neither of whom should be playing significant snaps on a playoff team anyway, but now it seems like both are heading for a camp battle for LB3, and the loser might end up off the team entirely.
