Matthew Stafford is doing all he can to help Stetson Bennett.

Who would expect anything less?

Bennett is fighting to make the final Los Angeles Rams' 53-man roster after he spent his rookie season away from the team dealing with mental health issues. He recently pulled back the curtain on the process of making the team on the Bennett was on the “UNRESERVED with TJ Callaway” podcast. It turns out Stafford and Jimmy Garoppolo are some of the key voices in the young signal caller's ear

"He’s the man,” Bennett said of Stafford. "I’m learning a lot from him. Just learning how to be a quarterback, and who knows if that’ll – I hope I’m good enough to do it, doing everything I can to do it."

"At the moment, Bennett is currently listed as the third quarterback on the depth chart, with Stafford and Garoppolo ahead of him. During training camp, he will be competing with Dresser Winn to secure his spot on the roster, as the Rams will need to retain one of the two when the 53-man roster is finalized, as Garoppolo will be serving a two-game suspension."

All of that doesn't appear to matter too much because Stafford is ready to offer a helping hand.
