Kyren Williams headlines a stacked running back position for the Los Angeles Rams.

Williams was a massive reason the Rams returned to the postseason, amassing 1,144 yards and 12 touchdowns in only 12 games.

It was a surprise breakout campaign, after playing a minor role on the Rams during his rookie season. He is the main reason Los Angeles' run game will be effective moving forward. In Pro Football Focus' rankings, Los Angeles sits at No. 11, with teams like the Jacksonville Jaguars (No. 12), Minnesota Vikings (No. 13), and the Seattle Seahawks (No. 14), ranked directly behind them.

"This might be too high a ranking for the Rams. Still. Kyren Williams earned an 80.3 PFF rushing grade with the sixth-highest PFF wins above average figure (0.17) in 2023," writes Trevor Sikkema.

"The team also now has rookie Blake Corum, who felt like he was slow to trust his knee after injury in the first half of 2023 but returned to form during Michigan's playoff stretch. Let’s not forget Corum earned an incredible 96.2 rushing grade in 2022. These two could make up one of the league's most efficient running back rooms."

Ahead of the Rams are the New York Jets (No. 10) and Philadelphia Eagles (No. 9).

Sean McVay's offense is predicated on an efficient running game. Williams provided that during the 2023 season. In 2024, the franchise is hoping for more of the same.

The Rams invested in the running back position during the 2024 NFL Draft, adding Michigan standout Blake Corum to a group with Boston Scott and Ronnie Rivers.

Once the season starts, it will be on Williams, Corum and company to live up to a top-15 ranking.
