Los Angeles Rams players Puka Nacua and Kobie Turner continue to showcase just how good the Rams' 2023 rookie class was.
Nacua is a finalist for the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year award, and Turner was labeled a finalist for the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year.
The path to the awards won't be easy for either player. On the offensive side of the ball, Houston Texans C.J. Stroud is a heavy favorite. Meanwhile, on the defensive side of the ball, Philadelphia Eagles' Jalen Carter and Texans Will Anderson Jr. will make it a tough test for Turner to walk away with the award.
Nacua's season was one for the history books. He broke the rookie records for receiving yards and receptions, hauling in 105 passes for 1,486 yards.
Turner led the defensive rookies in sacks with nine. Some attributed his success as a third-round pick to the presence of Aaron Donald, but that isn't the entire story.
Turner recorded 57 combined tackles, 16 quarterback hits, and eight tackles for a loss during his rookie season.
The awards will be announced on Feb. 8.
